Lost the car key? The new one gets made right at the car
No tow and no trip across town. The Patriot van carries a key cutting machine and programming tools, so we cut your key, program it to the car where it is parked, and test it with you before we leave.

Which one sounds like yours?
Car keys are the work we do most, and nearly every call fits one of these.
Every key is gone
No key left to copy is not a dead end. The new key is cut to the car and programmed to it on the spot, with nothing to tow and nothing to mail away.
You want a spare before you need one
Making a second key while the first one still works is the easy version of this job. Bring the working key and we copy and program it at the car.
Push-to-start smart key or fob
Proximity keys and push-to-start fobs for most makes. The new fob is programmed so it starts the engine, and we check every button before we go.
The fob shell cracked or the blade snapped
If the electronics inside still work, a new shell may be all it needs. If they do not, you hear that before we replace anything.
Key stuck, or it will not turn
A key that will not turn or will not come out can point to a worn key, the steering lock or the ignition. We find which one first and tell you what it needs.
Keys locked in the car or the trunk
We open the door or the trunk without damage and hand the keys back. If the key is lost rather than locked inside, the new one is made on the same visit.
The dealer needs the car. So do we, but we come to it
With every key lost, getting the car to a dealer usually means a tow. We skip that step and do the whole job where the car already is.
What to have ready
- Proof that the car is yours: the registration or the title
- A photo ID with a name that matches it
- The year, make and model, so we bring the right key and confirm on the phone
- The car itself. The key is programmed to the vehicle, so it has to be there
We ask everyone for this, every time. Nobody gets a key to a car they cannot show is theirs, and that protects you as much as anyone.

How the visit goes
- Call with the year, make and modelYou get a ballpark price from that and an honest idea of when the van can reach you.
- Paperwork at the carYour ID and proof of ownership come first. A car key is the car, so no exceptions.
- Cut the bladeOn the key machine inside the van, a few steps from your car.
- Program the keyUsually about 15 to 30 minutes per vehicle.
- Test it with youStart the engine, lock, unlock, open the trunk. Then you get an itemized receipt.

Company cars, vans and trucks
When a business needs keys for several vehicles, we try to do them all in one visit. If the vehicles cannot sit still that long, we come early in the morning before the workday, on a Saturday or Sunday, or split the fleet into two batches so the rest stay on the road.
Every vehicle has to be on site, with paperwork showing the business owns it. Each one is programmed and tested on the spot.
Straight talk about price
On the phone you tell us what happened, and we give you a ballpark based on that. When the technician arrives, the first thing he does is look at the lock and make sure it matches what you described. A door that sounded simple can turn out to be a different story, and sometimes it is the other way around.
Then you hear the final number, before a single tool touches the lock. You decide, and only then we start. No surprises on the bill, and the receipt carries our license number, LCO 8138.
Asked about car keys
I lost every key. Can you still make one?
Yes. We do not need the old key. The new one is cut and programmed to the car where it is parked. Have your ID and proof of ownership ready.
How long does programming take?
Usually about 15 to 30 minutes per vehicle once the key is cut. If your car is one that takes longer, we tell you on the phone.
Do you make push-to-start smart keys?
Yes, for most makes. Give us the year, make and model when you call and we confirm before the van heads your way.
Does the car have to be there?
Yes. The key is programmed to the car itself, so we work where the car is: your driveway, the street, the lot at work.
What counts as proof of ownership?
The registration or the title, plus a photo ID with the same name. For a company vehicle, paperwork showing the business owns it.
Can you copy a key I still have?
Yes, and it is the easiest time to do it. Bring the working key and we cut and program the spare at the car.
