Locked out of the safe, the mailbox or the storage unit
The passports are in the safe and the combination is in nobody's head. The mailbox key left with the last tenant. The file cabinet has been locked since before you started the job. We drive out with the tools for small locks, and you hear the price before we touch one.

What people call us about
Locked out of a safe
A keypad that will not respond, a lost key, a dial that turns but a handle that will not. We figure out which, then open it with as little damage as that safe allows.
A forgotten combination
Dial or electronic. Some locks can be set to a new combination once the safe is open, others need a new lock. You hear the options and the prices first.
A lost mailbox key
We open the box, replace the lock and cut new keys. For apartment and cluster boxes the owner or manager has the say over the lock, so we work with them.
Into your own storage unit
Lost the key to your lock on your unit. Bring the rental agreement or other proof the unit is yours, plus ID, and let the facility office know.
File cabinets and desk drawers
Keys lost years ago, a new office manager, a drawer that jammed shut. We open it, rekey or replace the lock and make spare keys.
Cabinet locks
Medicine, liquor, display and tool cabinets. Cam locks swapped, and keyed alike if you want one key for all of them.
Every lock that is too small to ignore
A small lock can hold up a closing, a move or a tax appointment. These are the ones we handle.

Why we ask whose lock it is
A safe, a mailbox or a storage unit holds things that belong to somebody. Before we open one, expect a few questions. For a storage unit, have the rental agreement or other proof the unit is yours ready, along with a photo ID.
An apartment or cluster mailbox usually belongs to the building, so the owner or manager decides about the lock. If you rent, a word with them first saves a second trip.
Straight talk about price
On the phone you tell us what happened, and we give you a ballpark based on that. When the technician arrives, the first thing he does is look at the lock and make sure it matches what you described. A door that sounded simple can turn out to be a different story, and sometimes it is the other way around.
Then you hear the final number, before a single tool touches the lock. You decide, and only then we start. No surprises on the bill, and the receipt carries our license number, LCO 8138.
Asked about safes, mailboxes and storage
Can you open a safe without ruining it?
Often, yes. It depends on the safe and the lock. Some open without a mark, some need a small, precise drill point that gets repaired afterward. You hear which one and the price before we start.
I forgot the combination to my safe. Can you reset it?
Once the safe is open, many locks can be set to a new combination. If the lock is worn out or the keypad is failing, we replace it.
Can you change the lock on my apartment mailbox?
Yes, with the okay of the building owner or manager, since the box usually belongs to the building. We replace the lock on your box and cut new keys.
What do I need to get into my storage unit?
The rental agreement or other proof the unit is rented to you, and a photo ID. Let the facility office know too, since many have their own rules about cutting locks.
Can you make keys for an old file cabinet or desk?
Often we can, from the lock itself or from the code stamped on it. When a key cannot be made, we replace the lock and hand you new keys.
