Terms of Service

Last updated October 19, 2026.

These terms cover this website and any locksmith work you hire Patriot Lock and Key Inc (Patriot Lock And Key, California license LCO 8138) to do. When you approve a job, you accept them. If something here is unclear, ask before the work starts and we will explain it.

Nothing on this site is an offer

The service pages, examples and answers on this site explain how we work. They are not an offer you can accept online, and reading them or sending the form does not create a contract. A job is agreed when you hear the final price on site and say yes.

How quoting works

  • On the phone we give you a ballpark based on what you describe. It is an estimate, because what you see from outside the door is not always what is inside the lock.
  • When the technician arrives, he looks at the lock, the door or the vehicle and tells you the final price before any tool touches it.
  • You decide. If you say no to the work, you owe nothing for the work.
  • For bigger commercial jobs we offer a free, no-obligation estimate on site, and you get the scope and the price in writing before any part is ordered.
  • Every job ends with an itemized receipt that carries our license number.

Proof that it is yours

Before we open a home, a business, a car, a safe, a mailbox or a storage unit, we ask for photo ID and proof that you own it, live there or are allowed to have it opened. A lease, a utility bill with the address, a vehicle registration or title, or a note from the owner or property manager usually does it. If we cannot confirm it, we do not open it. That rule protects you just as much as it protects us.

Damage and drilling

We start with methods that leave the lock and door as they were, and most openings end that way. Some locks are already broken inside, worn out, or built so that drilling is the only way in. When that happens we tell you why, and we only go ahead once you say yes. A drilled or defective lock usually needs to be replaced, and that is priced for you before it is done.

We are not responsible for damage that was already there, or for a lock or part that fails because it was already defective, when we explained the risk and you chose to go ahead.

If something is not right

Call 925-414-0352. We come back and look at it. If the problem is in our work, we make it right. Parts may also carry a warranty from their manufacturer; that warranty comes from the manufacturer, and we help you use it.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under California law that cannot be waived.

Cancellation

You can cancel any time before work starts by calling the same number. If the key turns up or someone lets you in while we are on the way, let us know right away. It happens all the time and it is fine.

Complaints

Tell us first. Call 925-414-0352 or email patriotlocksandkey@gmail.com, and the owner, Soufiane Gmira, will look at it himself. If we cannot settle it between us, you can contact the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, the state agency that licenses locksmiths in California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page on the day of your job is the one that applies to it.

California law

These terms, and any job we do, are governed by the laws of the State of California.
