Greenbrae: hospital shifts, shops and a boardwalk
Greenbrae keeps odd hours. MarinHealth Medical Center on Bon Air Road never closes, so plenty of people walk to their cars in the dark after a long shift. Bon Air Center has storefronts with back doors, closers and keypads that take a beating. And Greenbrae has a boardwalk community on Corte Madera Creek, across from the ferry terminal, where homes are reached on foot. Each of these asks for a different approach, and the van carries tools for all three.
Corte Madera Creek once held a large community of arks, flat-bottomed houseboats that lined the water from Kentfield and Greenbrae toward the bay. One of the two boardwalks left today is in Greenbrae, and its homes are accessible only on foot. Our take: for a lockout there, the technician parks and walks the tools in. Mention it when you call.

Straight talk about price
On the phone you tell us what happened, and we give you a ballpark based on that. When the technician arrives, the first thing he does is look at the lock and make sure it matches what you described. A door that sounded simple can turn out to be a different story, and sometimes it is the other way around.
Then you hear the final number, before a single tool touches the lock. You decide, and only then we start. No surprises on the bill, and the receipt carries our license number, LCO 8138.
A name with a reason behind it
Soufiane Gmira named the company in honor of his great-grandfather, who fought in Vietnam. The respect for people who served never left him, and it is the reason every active duty service member and veteran gets a discount from us.
Military and veteran discount. Mention it when you call. That is all it takes.
Asked by neighbors
I live on the Greenbrae boardwalk. Can a locksmith work out there?
Yes. Homes on the boardwalk are reached on foot, so tell us when you call. The technician parks, walks the tools in and looks at the lock before giving the final price. Non-destructive entry comes first. Drilling only happens if there is no other way, after we explain why and you say yes.
My keys are locked in my car at the hospital lot. What do you need from me?
Where the car is parked, the make, model and year, and proof of ownership such as your registration and ID. We give a ballpark on the phone, then the final price on site before starting. If the key is lost rather than locked inside, we can cut and program a new one at the car for most makes.
Do you work with small businesses at Bon Air Center?
Yes. For shops and offices we handle door closers, panic bars, card and fob readers, keypads, electric strikes, magnetic locks and master key systems. We are open 7 days, 7:30 AM to 11:30 PM, so if a door will not lock at closing time, you can call us that evening and get a ballpark.
