Union City Car Keys, Rekeys and Car Lockouts
A lost fob in Union City usually means a car stuck right where it was parked. We come to the car, cut and program a new key on the spot, and we can rekey the house on the same visit if those keys went missing too.

Lost a key ring, moved in, or had a tenant move out? A rekey makes the old keys useless while you keep your locks. We can also put the whole house on one key.

From Old Alvarado to Decoto Road
Two older town names, Alvarado and Decoto, are still all over Union City. On the Alvarado side, Smith Street has the old fire department building that now holds the Union City Historical Museum. Decoto Road runs along the Station District near the Union City BART station, and Alvarado-Niles Road crosses the north part of town. Around all of it are single family neighborhoods, and the van goes door to door through them.
Something many neighbors never hear: the state lists Union City as the site of the nation's first successful beet sugar factory. E. H. Dyer built it in 1870 on a corner of his farm, and it began processing beets that November. The site is on Dyer Street. A whole industry started behind one factory gate here, and every gate still needs a lock that works.

Straight talk about price
On the phone you tell us what happened, and we give you a ballpark based on that. When the technician arrives, the first thing he does is look at the lock and make sure it matches what you described. A door that sounded simple can turn out to be a different story, and sometimes it is the other way around.
Then you hear the final number, before a single tool touches the lock. You decide, and only then we start. No surprises on the bill, and the receipt carries our license number, LCO 8138.
A name with a reason behind it
Soufiane Gmira named the company in honor of his great-grandfather, who fought in Vietnam. The respect for people who served never left him, and it is the reason every active duty service member and veteran gets a discount from us.
Military and veteran discount. Mention it when you call. That is all it takes.
Asked by neighbors
My keys are locked in my car at the Union City BART lot. Can you get to it?
Yes. Tell us where in the lot you parked and what the car is. The van comes to the car, we open it with non-destructive entry first, and you get the price before we start. If the key is lost instead of locked inside, we can cut and program a new one on the spot with proof of ownership.
How do I know if I need a rekey or new locks?
If your locks turn smoothly and you just want the old keys to stop working, a rekey does it and you keep your hardware. If a lock is loose, worn, or you want something different like a smart lock, a lock change makes more sense. The technician checks the door and gives you both options with prices before any work.
Our smart lock died and the app will not connect. Can a locksmith fix that?
Yes. Dead batteries, lost codes and apps that will not pair are all things we handle. First we get you inside, using non-destructive entry. Then we look at the lock and tell you what it needs, whether that is a reset, new batteries or a replacement. You hear the price before we touch it.
